Stilings Chartered Surveyors offer a design service not only for whole new buildings but also for extensions and alteration to existing property. So whether you want to buy a plot of land and have your own building designed or whether you need simply to alter the building you already have, Stilings Chartered Surveyors can help.

For most new buildings and extensions/alterations Planning Consents and Building Regulations approvals are necessary from the Local Authority. Stilings can deal with both types of application, dealing with the processes of negotiation, etc., to ensure that all aspects are satisfactorily considered.

Once plans have been prepared and specification written for both materials and workmanship, Stilings can follow the project through, obtaining quotations from contractors to undertake the work, supervision of works carried out on site to ensure compliance with drawings and specification, to the eventual handing over of the completed project, with, in the case of new build dwellings, appropriate Certification acceptable to Mortgage Lenders, etc.

Recent projects have included internal design of a new house at Pitminster, Somerset, design of an MOT testing station situated in a residential area (which required the design to be harmonised with existing neighbouring dwellings), extensions to houses in Pyworthy, Devon and Taunton Somerset, restoration and alterations to a mid Victorian villa style house in Bridgwater, supervision of construction (design by others) of three houses in Middlezoy, Somerset.
